About Us

For over fifteen years, Houston, Texas has been the home of the RSCM Gulf Coast Choral Residency for girls. At RSCM Gulf Coast, our aim is to pass on the beautiful tradition of sacred Anglican choral music to the next generation while also celebrating diversity in our choristers and staff. Our choristers come from all over the United States, from different churches, denominations, and backgrounds. We love that we are an Anglican choral camp hosted by a Episcopal church, housed in a Catholic university, and have sung services in Methodist, Lutheran, and Baptist churches (just to name a few!). We've had esteemed clinicians such as Gerre Hancock, Benjamin Hutto, Bruce Neswick, and many more. In 2018 we had our first artist-in-residence, composer Philip Moore from England, and over the years we've been blessed to work with some of the most talented organists and musicians in the world.

The 2023 summer course will be the sixteenth year RSCM Gulf Coast has been in Houston, and we are excited for another amazing week of music, fun, and friendship. The clinician for 2023 is Simon Lole, accomplished composer and Director of Music at St Mary's Church, Swanage in Dorset, England.

In addition to our summer choral residency for girls, we have a Winter Festival in January open to both girls and boys. This year it was held in Baton Rouge, LA on January 20-22, 2023.
