About Us
For over fifteen years, Houston, Texas has been the home of the RSCM Gulf Coast Choral Residency for girls. At RSCM Gulf Coast, our aim is to pass on the beautiful tradition of sacred Anglican choral music to the next generation while also celebrating diversity in our choristers and staff. Our choristers come from all over the United States, from different churches, denominations, and backgrounds. We love that we are an Anglican choral camp hosted by a Episcopal church, housed in a Catholic university, and have sung services in Methodist, Lutheran, and Baptist churches (just to name a few!). We've had esteemed clinicians such as Gerre Hancock, Benjamin Hutto, Bruce Neswick, Simon Lole, and many more. In 2018 we had our first artist-in-residence, composer Philip Moore from England, and over the years we've been blessed to work with some of the most talented organists and musicians in the world.
The 2024 summer weeklong residency will be replaced by a weekend festival. It will be the seventeenth (and final!) year RSCM Gulf Coast has been in Houston, and we are excited for another amazing celebration of music, fun, and friendship. The clinician for 2024 will be Anna Teagarden and the organist will be Dr. Joe Causby.
